Founded in 2021 by mother-of-four Vanessa Challacombe on the family cattle station in Northeast of Capella, Queensland, Little Spurs & Co was born from the inspiration to create clothing for children, women and men to live life fully on the land – whether you’re coming from a day’s mustering or heading out to celebrate. It’s reflected Vanessa’s burgeoning industrious, expanding family lifestyle amidst the rugged beauty of life in the country.
What began as a humble side hustle on their cattle station, has blossomed into a national sensation. Little Spurs & Co has garnered acclaim, securing stockists nationwide and amassing a dedicated online following that continues to flourish. Little Spurs continues to challenge the retail industry with its unique blend of functionality and style - catering for the tiniest of wranglers to seasoned adults with her beautiful country-wear collections.

Founders Story
Vanessa Challacombe, founder of Little Spurs & Co, is a powerhouse balancing the roles of a devoted mother and a driven entrepreneur. With four kids (six-year-old Stepdaughter Lakota, three-year-old twins Saxby and Vienna and a one-year-old Adaline) under her wing, she’s no stranger to the whirlwind of parenthood.
Her journey began in the corporate world, where she honed her skills in logistics during her 15+ years at Australia’s largest telecommunications network. This experience not only equipped her with proactive planning abilities but also instilled in her the importance of maintaining a healthy work-life balance.
Driven by a desire for practical yet beautiful clothing that resonated with the rugged lifestyle of rural Australia, Vanessa established Little Spurs & Co as her side hustle and creative outlet. What started as a passion project has now blossomed into a thriving six-figure Australian business, challenging the retail industry with its unique blend of functionality and style - catering for the tiniest of wranglers to seasoned adults with her beautiful country- wear collections.
